I've had chickens for a little over a month. I have three chickens. Two Buff Orpingtons and one Rhode Island Red. They're almost 4 months old. When do you think the will start laying eggs?

They usually start laying at 5 - 6 months, Sometimes earlier, Somtimes later, Depending on breed and what time of year it is.

I have marans and bo I found 3 eggs at 19 wks 1 looked like it was from an bo but that pullet hasn't laid another egg I was expecting 20 wks+mine were early I think it really depends on time of year and parentage

Well I'd say, depending on the breed and the bird in general, that you'll start finding eggs in the coop in two more months. 5-6 months like another poster had said is around the average age for a layer. 7 months is probably when you have a steady egg flow (about and assumed). Each bird is different. You can research a breed and find out they're docile, you get one and they're aggressive. It's the same with breeds and laying... each bird is different so I'd suggest waiting and watching but very soon those gals should start laying.

18-28 weeks is typical onset of lay for most breeds, some start sooner and some later.
Here's some tips on things to watch for and check:
