When do chicks fly?

It is kind of like asking when to children learn to walk... it depends on the kid. Here I guess it may also depend on the breed.

My Silver Laced Wyandottes, routinely left the runway at about 2.5 weeks old. Now they are 4 weeks it gets pretty tough cleaning out their brooder, as they all show off, with their aerial stunts.

Thus, I must catch 20-30 who have 'escaped' during cleaning time each and every morning. My English Springer Spaniel thinks it is all great fun. Haven't lost any to her yet. She has remained very composed. I figured the more exposure she get while they are in the house the better she will be when they are moved outside.

This is the oldest.

And this is the youngest.

We have some that are in the middle. How soon should they fly?

The chicks are now 20 days old and are starting to fly about 1" off the ground.
Thanks for all the help,
