When do eggs pip?

Whay day do eggs pip on, how many hoursinto that day on average. My eggs are on day 20, and yesterday I saw an egg move about and today I heard some cheeping from it. Any ideas would be great!

i've got peeps & 1 pip under a broody at day 20!!!

They should start pipping today, maybe tomorrow if you had any low temps. Peeping & rocking is a good sign! Won't be long now, just be sure to keep the humidity up so they can get out.

lux i'm with you. day 19/20 and haven't heard or seen anything yet. i'm just greatful that I have work to distract me... as it is i am AT work and my kids are asking what i'm doing... hmmmm

can't give up hope yet!

(I also keep telling myself that it is my first hatch and they were shipped eggs.... doesn't make me feel much better but I keep saying it ;p)

Well the egg I expected to hatch HAS hatched! YAY!!!!

I'm sooo happy, first hatch with my new incubator! Was born at about 9.40pm today!!!! Took about 5 hours to get out of the egg. Woo hoo!

I know what a pip is, but Ive seen zip on here too. What does 'zipping' mean? I cant wait mine hatch on the 23rd.
