I have a female and male Muscovy duck that are both around 7 months old. The male noticeably has caruncles and has had them for a while. However, the female barely has any (see picture). When will they start to become more prominent?

My adult females barely have any, so not all get a lot thankfully. I find them ugly with lots of caruncles. You might see a bit more growth but you may not see a lot.

Here are our muscovies. Some recent photos some months old.

First set is our Drake Rio. His transformation is amazing.

Very nice.

Otis is handsome too. :)

Seriously, before speedy rescued me, i thought the red stuff meant there was something wrong with them. I know thats a common misconception. But i kept that opinion to myself since i hadn't done any research on ducks prior to her. And now that i have, it makes me sad to think of all the ducklings that probably imprinted on kids back when they allowed you to hatch your own in school and keep them or send them off to a farm or something...
And it annoys me when someone who has never done any research on ducks at all, assumes to tell me what to do. - sore point lol sorry. Every single one of my friends and family are like that except my one sister who actually helped me research because i couldnt figure out what fancy was since he was 5 times speedy's size even whwn they were younger. Oh and my baby nephew, still stole my heart the night of my birthday and he was sitting in the car just keeping the company when i went out to get them.
