When do garden seeds come in stock for you?

I order almost all of my seeds from these three places: Baker Creek, Sow True Seed, and Seed Savers Exchange. They have always been very upfront on what is out of stock, so I can plan around that or look somewhere else.

This year I wanted to try different tomato varieties and ordered all my tomato seeds from Tomatofest.com. This is my first time ordering from them, so I don't know germination rates, etc., but they had a quick turn around time on my order, and I think they had everything in stock too. HUUUUUUUGE selection, oh my. I was looking for short season 'maters, determinate 'maters, in heirloom varieties. Bingo on all three criteria.

After this last season's debacle, I wanted to get seeds early, so I ordered in August. Usually I order in January or February, when the garden porn seed catalogs come in.

I'm currently shaking my head at Gurneys.... I placed my order, everything was in stock, I waited like a week and checked the order status, still not shipped, turns out, 4-6 of the items I ordered are showing backordered and they are waiting for all of them to be available to ship any of it.

Wow that sucks. I don't mind waiting for something to be shipped but if items aren't in stock, it should reflect that on the site, or they should give you the option of substituting or something.

I already got my Baker Creek order and my Totally Tomatoes order says shipped so hoping I won't need anything else for this upcoming year.
