When do guineas begin to lay?

I have guineas that are 4 mos. One female is very interested in a nestbox. When I used to keep guineas, I had a bigger flock. The females would never use a nestbox but laid in a corner of their coop instead.

I went out to feed my three guineas their worms and found two eggs! I was shocked!!! They don't normally start laying till April! Is this unusual?

I am in northern California and mine started laying the last of December. I definitely was not expecting that.

I wasnt ready for mine to start and it's been a shot show, I was totally not prepared. No nesting boxes or anything. We got a bigger coop when winter was breaking but I didnt think I'd have to worry till spring either. Thanks God for this group of people.
