When do i get a rooster?

Roosters are pretty easy to come by. Lots of times, people give them away.

If you were close by me, I'd invite you over to pick one out. I've a got a bunch of Rhode Island Red cockerels, ranging from age 0 to 9 weeks. You could take your pick.
 
Would anyone know how to like tame your chicks like keep em calm? What do ya do

Hey, Jimmy, welcome to BYC - wait a bit on the rooster. There is at least a 10% chance that sexed pullets may contain a cockerel.
