When do I start feeding my baby pigeon peas?

Hello, I was just wondering when to start feeding my baby rescued pigeon defrosted peas. He hatched 12 days ago and is still on Kaytees Exact hand feeding formula. He has been eating great so I didn't know if it was time to introduce peas or not. Also, once I do start him on the peas, does he need grit as well? Thanks for your help,

at this age I would start feeding chicken laying pellets maybe half and half then all pellet the peas are for make do for those that don't have feed for birds a house hold item I you wish make sure you dip birds beak in water even better a small bowl with water and feed that cannt be turned over you will be surprised how soon he will learn to pick up feed and water

Yes, a LITTLE very fine grit would be good for him.

For the best results, you might get chick grit.
