I have 8 week old Easter Eggers. They are splashes from Rural King, so I believe they came from Hoover’s. I can’t see evidence of muffs yet but hope they have them. Should they have grown in by now?

I have a variety of EE’s sage eggers, and moss eggers Azure Eggers none of them have muffs. The only pullet I have with a muff is my Ameraucana (who is not an EE), but this breed is often used to create EE’s. It all depends on what breeds went into your particular mix of colored layers. The jist of it is, Easter Eggers aren’t really a breed they are mix of breeds that create a colored layer sometimes mix's of mix’s even, so there is no standard of what they will look like.

Agree that they're usually visible from the very start. The two lighter colored chicks are roughly 1 week old EEs with muffs:

Thank you, all for your help, especially with the photo examples! I think for some reason I’m just hopeless at identifying muffs right now. :barnie
