When do roosters......

ONLY MY OPINION :
Well , I was told NOT to mix silkies with regular size flock , ROOSTERS can kill them . So , maybe better off , moving your silkies into another area all to themselves . I DO NOT have my bantams mixed with regular flock . I have one bantam rooster with the bantam hens and it works great . Regular flock have their own separate run and coop . Orpington's are such a large breed , I would NOT mix with bantam's or silkies at all .

Wish someone had told me that sooner. I could have lost my silkie because of my ignorance. You'd think that it would have been on here somewhere, but I'd never read it until it was almost too late. I don't remember how I mentioned it, and Miss Prissy told me to separate them or he'd kill her.

Yes , I would put that rooster back with the regular flock and put silkies in separate pen and coop . I hope he hasn't already injured her . Is she limping at all ? I also have a small ole english game bantam that I had to remove also from the regular pen and coop for that same reason . She has a very bad limp NOW after being humped by my full size BIG RED ( rir) rooster . REMOVE your silkies and RETURN that rooster to regular flock and problem will be solved .
