When do silkies start laying?

I know that it’s different with every chicken, but I was wondering when approximately silkies start laying? Mine are 4 month old and still aren’t laying I’ll post a different thread with the gender questions later this week. When did yours start laying?

On average silkies start laying anywhere from 5-8 months or even longer in my experiences. This time of year I would expect them to start at 6-7 months, but it can depend on many factors like feed, climate, and lighting.
