ThanksDepends on the breed sometimes. Some breeds start laying earlier or later than others but its not an exact science. Some will start around 18 weeks and some, most of mine, wait much longer!!! I think most will have started laying by 24 to 26 weeks but again, some can be longer. Roosters can probably fertilize by around 18 weeks. If they are mating, they are fertilizing.
