I have candled my eggs even during lockdown though you are not supposed to, nothing happened. beware though that there is not a lot of movement as you get closer to hatch date. and i put the egg back in the bator exactly like I took it out by marking it. I thinp lightly on the egg to see if it is peeping. in order for peeping to happen the head has to have broke thru the air sac which you can clearly see when candling.
