When do you start hearing peeping?

My Sweetpea (I figure I can call a roo that too)...

She's starting to fluff and peep more, stretching a lot. The yolk has almost gone inside now (absorbed) so looks like it wasn't intestines, Praise Be.

How's your PIP'r doing???

Still nothing with mine.. candled them this morning, there is no movement at all, and they look the same as they did a week ago... So I pulled the plug.

Did you try the float test first???? Before giving up??

Yes, I did the float test yesterday, none of them moved. I thought one did, but it must have been my imagination! I dried them off and put them back in the bator, just in case! I just had to give them one more chance! I am positive they weren't alive. I think that's why my broody quit sitting on them. There were only 4 more days to go when she did it! When I noticed she wasn't sitting on them anymore, they had gotten cold. But I grabbed them anyway and put them in a homemade bator.. temps @ 95 degrees with a bowl of water in there for humidity. There was absolutely no movement as of this morning, no peeping, and in some of the eggs, where the chick should be, it wasn't full of dark mass... some of them had a ring... Out of all the research I've done, these eggs didn't look like the ones that would hatch.. I was just wishful thinking!

I still have one Silkie/leghorn but theirs no internal pip and I barely seen it moving.

and in a few days my leghorn chick should hatch.
