When does your (kids') school start?

Schools in our area start up in September right after labor day...which is the 8th. So September 8th. lol we start pretty late

I remember the days when we didn't go back until after Labor Day, now we always go back the Tuesday before Labor Day. This year we start on September 1st.

I don't like it because we always loved to go away the week before Labor Day, it also interferes with the Fairs!

In our county, school always starts on Aug. 25th.

Mr Saddi doesn't give his Jr High classes it either, some of the parents worry about that, but the kids are far happier, and still get the material down.

I don't have to worry about homework.

I only ever do it in math for practice.
We pretty much take notes for and hour and a half, then practice it at home, and come in with questions, where we take notes on how to do it. It works really well.
The rest of my classes I manage to pass (usually with an 80 or above unless I'm really lazy) without the homework.

My 2 3rd graders start at 7:35.

Last year the school board decided to change the times when the different schools start. They had a bright idea for the elementary to start at 7:35...middle to start at 8:35 and high school to start at 7:05.

Camelot, LOL I sure miss my boys too. Summer goes by so quickly these days.
