I love it.

My folks are from Maryland so we'd go visit family every year for summer....we'd spend a week at Ocean City and a week in Galena, near Chestertown. Do you know it?

I know Ocean City well, I've been through Galena & Chestertown on my way to PA.

My Uncle used to have a big fruit and veggie stand over near Chestertown.


Thrashers salt and vinegar french fries, Candy Kitchen, salt water taffy, snow cones as big as your head...ooh nom nom nom...and steamed crabs with old bay...oh my goodness, i'm drooling! I miss the smell of the boardwalk even and the wild horsies at Assateague....oh those were some fun summers.

I've got lots of fond memories.

My aunt and uncle's house in Galena is on the historic list...she used to give tours. Don't know if she does lately...with my cousin bein real real ill. But it sure is pretty. Spent all my summers there....but it creeped me out at night. Big ol houses do that to a little girl.

Makes ya wonder, don't it? All the history in old houses.

At my old place I know a little girl died there...she got sick but I don't know much more...it was probably in the 60's too...so not that old. I used to feel like I had experiances that would creep me the crud out when I was a little girl living there. Now I moved recently and I live in a new old house and now my little girls are startin to creep me out with things they say they see and stuff.
