We have 2 Golden Retriever lap dogs. In our house always a lap dog!!! Besides you get lots of doggy kisses when they are in your lap!

My parents wont let my lab on the couch.

I let my chiwiener on the couch anyways though.

My DH and I were sitting on our love seat... our foster boy (I think we had him only a few days) wanted to snuggle so he wedged himself between us, yes he's pretty much upside down. Needless to say he got to stay.


So to answer the origional question - NEVER too big!

My Bouvier (110 + lbs) still gets in my lap (I am 5'1" and weigh 130) on occassion, luckily he does not force his "love" on me often
