At what point to chicks (or Saxony ducklings in my case) start moving around in the egg?
The ones my hens are sitting on should hatch around the 20th-21st if all is well, but there's no movement inside and they don't look very big yet.
The veins are all nice and red, would those change if the baby dies or would they still be red and intact?
I'm investing in or making an incubator this week for the next batch, so there's no guess work about whether or not they've gotten cold or when they actually started developing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

They still have a long ways to go if they are not due until the 20th. You can sometimes see the embryo moving and floating around, sometimes not. If you see healthy veins that is a good sign.

Thanks Sun,
I'll leave them alone now since there's only a couple weeks to go. Fingers crossed!!
