When looking at breed descriptions regarding average weights of the adult hens and roosters is this weight live and in feather? And what is the best way to weigh a live bird? Curious minds want to know. :)
 
Yeah, that could work. I've read that the standard for Wyandottes is 6 lb hen and 8 1/2 rooster. I think mine are lighter than that. I'm just assuming that when you read a breed standard weight that it is a live chicken?
