When science and technology don't speak the same language (humidity issues / sticky chicks)

I like to put 2 dozen different breed eggs in my insanely crappy incubator I scotch taped together!

So why the jars with lids? I haven't seen that before

So why the jars with lids? I haven't seen that before

It's for two reasons. One they hold heat like additional eggs in a half filled incubator. And second, once I add moisture (I go dry the first week) I just open a lid or two on a jar vs pouring into the channels which is hard to control.

OMG! Works as a heat sink and humidity control systen ... very clever!

Thanks! I saw and tried stuff I saw here like baggies filled with water and rocks and I put those in for heat sinks and then others put little Tupperware cups for water and I just do a combined thing now (hatch 8! - steep learning curve!!)
