When should ducks start to lay

So I have 10 female ducks, two mallards that are 4 1/2 months old, two black runner ducks that are 4 months old, and the rest I recently bought are khaki and Swedish girls that were hatched early may or late April. I’m very new and clueless about ducks(loving them and everyone on backyard chickens.) I’ve been reading about when they should start laying, and I’m not sure exactly the timeframe for each breed. Any advice and stories.

It wouldn't hurt. Some say it works for their hens. We wish we had done so earlier. Our girls are laying in their night time eclosure early in the AM … wherever the mood strikes them and they usually try to bury them in their hay bedding. It is exciting! Good Luck!

My buff duck just laid her first egg yesterday, she is 4.5 months old.

Thank you so much for the replies first egg was found today. Yesterday she moved the fake egg to the area she laid today by their food
