When should I expect eggs from my Buff Orpingtons?????

Hello my friends, I am raising Buff Orpingtons for the first time and I would like for those of you with experience with this breed to share your experience. They are 20 weeks old this week. When I had Barred Plymoth Rocks, they were hatched in April and I got my first egg in September. I know that we still have a couple of weeks before the month is out.

So, when should I expect eggs from my Buff Orpingtons that are now 20 weeks old?

Orpingtons usually take something like 24 weeks to start laying. Hopefully next month. They are individual though and some may start sooner, others later. I've had one start at 22 weeks but all the other started after 24 weeks.

I have heard that it's around 24 weeks too. My BO was 24 weeks old on 9/9 and I have seen her hanging out in the nest boxes lately, so I hoping it's a good sign and she'll be laying soon!!
