When should I put a safety hole in a call duck egg?

Pics
@Overo Mare @shawluvsbirds This is the white call duckling, would you say thats ready? At first glance for me it seemed like it had lots of still really active veins, but I don't THINK those are active veins, but I could be totally wrong. Also there are some spots on the egg where theres simply no veins and looks like it COULD be ready. This egg and the pastel seem to be the farthest ahead.
I don't see anything that looks like active veins in that pic.. but if course it's hard to tell in pictures.
I would start uncovering that head/eye area.
Sometimes I do use a tiny pair of scissors so it will tear where I want it to and not rip too far back.

At this stage if you do see a little blood, don't panic. Just apply some pressure with a dry qtip and of course stop tearing the membrane in that place.
So, the next steps would be to just start removing some membrane and then once its ready, it will come out on its own? Or will I need to help it out do you think? Also, so those veins aren't active and are safe to cut? is it just leftover blood that wasnt absorbed then? Also once some of the membrane is removed, will I need to keep moisturizing it? I also dont have REALLY small scissors, should I just use small scissors that have been disinfected? Or would it be best to just find another way.
I've done pleanty without scissors. I just use my fingernails most of the time.

I don't think I have ANY scissors that could be like that, I really wish I did, do you think its a good idea to run to the store and get some? I could but it would be quite the hassle to do that especially rn, but if its necessary then I can.
You don't have to.
It's really whatever your comfortable doing.

Got toenail clippers?
You could steralise those and use the edge of them to start a cut so it would tear/rip in the right direction.
It should be easy to tear.
Usually where the scissors come in handy is just for that part that gets kinda dried out around the original pip hole.

@shawluvsbirds @Overo Mare All 4 eggs! I removed some membrane on white and just a TINY bit on pastel to allow his/her bill to be free because the internal pip with a bit awkward with the large vein being in the way. The picture with the 2 eggs is nutmeg on the left, penciled on the right, I think it cropped that picture im not sure, but penciled is not ready for anything except moisture, and nutmeg just needs a little more time I believe then I will start removing some membrane, idk if the pictures perfectly show it but in nutmeg I see some active veins, and of course in penciled. I am going to maybe remove a little more as we go along, but I am going to let them rest for a while after I added moisture and for some I removed some membrane!

Looking great!

I see that white one has his little wing out there. Won't be too awfully much longer for him.
Ok! So do you think I should remove more membrane a little sooner than I planned? Then do I just let him/her come out? or is there any other things I need to do as far as assisting.
