When should I put a safety hole in a call duck egg?

Pics
Ok, thank you. I didn't know about the navel thing, I will prepare for that just in case. All the ducklings seem to be doing good, although I think they need longer before I start doing anything else besides keeping it moist, but I really appreciate it so I have that info fresh in my mind. So, do you think. Also, they are making kinda a shivering type motion with their beak. I am pretty certain they aren't actually cold because I have multiple different things testing humidity and temperature. But they are making a shivering motion with their beak opening and closing their beak. From what I can see, I am pretty sure thats just the yawning motion, but could it be anything else?
That's them chewing.

is the yellow part of that egg, like the membrane being yellow due to the duckling being yellow, or is it drying out? and is that a consistant thing? It isn't happening right now, I am just wondering because I cant tell if thats because of the color of the duckling.
The yellow in my photo is the duckling's down.

By the way, how long would you estimate it would take for the viens to start going back and for the duckling to be ready to come out of the egg/go to the next step? its been like 10 hours since I slowly started widening the holes in the eggs and applying moisture. I am just trying to plan the next day/few days to know how long it might take

It takes time. Usually a full 24 hours or more once they've internally pipped and they're ready to hatch.

dang, its been over 24 hours since I made the safety hole, and some internally pipped quite a bit before that. And the veins aren't gone, they are going its just they arent really that close to being gone yet, although one of them the veins have made quite a noticable difference and thats the one with the large vein in the way of its internal pip, it still internally pipped, but the vein was in the middle of it and I am glad it didnt break, and they are still chewing. I am sure they will be fine as they all look perfectly healthy, but dang I feel like they certainly still have quite a way to go. I know it can take quite a while but I am still a little concerned I am going to have to stay up all night, I definetely will do it for the ducklings if its beneficial but still. Maybe I will set a timer to wake me up when around they need moisture.

Would you say this duckling is ready to proceed to next steps? or does it still need some more time in the step of just keeping it moisturized. The hole is quite big but I didn't do it all at once. I don't REALLY see it making as much chewing motions, although it is still moving its beak. But I feel like those veins still ahve some blood in them @Overo Mare @shawluvsbirds This one appears to be the farthest along (this is the one with the vein where it internally pipped, making its beak hard to get out, you can still kinda see the vein, but it was a LOT larger and full of blood yesterday and it just kinda looks like a small peice of the membrane at the end of its bill and in this picture you really cant see it although its quite obvious irl.

I would give that one a bit more time, and then gently remove the clear membrane covering it.

They will really start pushing with their feet and moving their little wings when they are ready to hatch. Sometimes they will even open their eyes and look around.
