When should I put a safety hole in a call duck egg?

Pics
@shawluvsbirds @Overo Mare The duckling is still in the cup, but how long do you think I should keep the white egg in the cup upwards? should I wait for the whole thing to absorb? I don't really want to take it out too soon but I also don't want to keep it in there for longer than it needs to be in case its normal for a bit of yolk to be left, but its quite a bit of yolk and I am quite sure it needs to absorb it.😁
You worry me when you say quite a bit of yolk...
Wish you'd taken a pic.
I hope most of it is inside the belly and not a lot on the outside.

It isn't a lot of yolk, its just some. I think it has absorbed it but we will see, I can tell you almost definetely though that it can't get out of that cup or the egg. I think it has absorbed most of it just has a little bit left that I can see way down in there :fl I think it will be ok as it isn't that much yolk, I don't really know how to describe much yolk but if I think about how much is in a chicken egg its not that much at all. I am a little nervous, I will take a picture soon but the duckling is blocking my view down into the egg right now and I can't take a picture because of it's position and I can't tell how much is left

Oh. Whew. I was hoping I did not encourage you to rush things.
The yolk will be more like between the legs and be a yellowish orange color.
Down in the bottom of the egg there will be some waste.
Sometimes people mistake that for unabsorbed yolk before they know the difference and what exactly they are looking at.
Lemme look for some pics.

And lemme tell ya. I bet you just *think* it can't get outta there. Those little hoopers can jump like a 🦘
🤣🤣🤣🤣

I just looked at it again, its kinda down really kinda at the point side of the egg, and it could be waste to be honest, but the duckling REALLY wants out and is struggling so much to get out. But it really isnt that much yolk left after I looked at it again. It could either be waste or yolk but to be honest im leaning towards yolk just because it looks like the color I would amagine yolk being and I can see it kinda where one of the legs are inside the egg

I would really like to send a picture, but the issue is its really hard to see sometimes due to the duckling blocking my view sometimes, and I need a light and holding my phone to take a picture is a lot, but I will try to get a picture because it could be very beneficial.

Be careful. 🤪
At this point you could probably go ahead and kind of lay it down on its side in that cup so it can push itself out whenever it wants to. As long as the biggest majority of yolk has been absorbed it should be safe in that cup to finish up if there's just a tiny bit left.

its definetely not lots of yolk, so I will unless I do and see theres lots more yolk than I thought

Well I can't seem to locate a good example of unabsorbed yolk. 🤪
But here's one of some waste in the bottom of an egg.
Now sometimes that waste can have yellow in it too making you wonder if that's yolk down in there or waste.
