When should my hens start laying?

My hens were bought in the beginning of February at TSC and I'm wondering when they should start laying?

Depending on the breed, as early as 20 weeks. It's not unheard of for some to not start laying until 9 months old though. Most breeds start laying between 22 and 30 weeks.

My first flock I got in Feb and all (BR / EE) started laying within the same week after they turned 5 months. These were Rural King / Townline Hatchery.

Most "Pullets" will start laying between 4,5,6 months(Most Generally).But,some breeds mature later on,and lay at a year old,or even a year and 4 months.

Keep in mind,it also depends on how "well" you keep the birds.Pullets need access to fresh,clean water (Clean water can't Really be counted),and need access to feed ALL the time.Feed them right.

What breed are they?
High production breeds a can start as early as 16-18 weeks.
Most others 18-24 weeks.
Some breeds can take much longer.
