When to candle?

I am new to this and have a dozen medium to light brown eggs in a homemade incubator. I am already going nuts wondering if the little guys are alive or not! They've been in for 2 days. Can I candle them and see any development at this point?

I am new to this too and I say wait til day 7 or 8. Keeps your hopes up as long as possibly lol. I don't think you can til later anyway. And use a led flashlight some one told me that and it works much better Good Luck
