When to expect an egg

When do you think I could get an egg? She’s over 6 months old. I’m told she’s a possible olive egger when I thought she was a full marans. First picture was taken 10 days ago the second one from today

Thanks. I hope so. I’m curious as to what her eggs will look like because I got her with the intent of seeing some chocolate eggs. In the second picture you can see her lobes are bigger but still very small. I also want to see what she will look like fully matured. She’s already so pretty.

I don't know much about genetics, so you'd probably have to get a different opinion on that

The hours of daylight are waning, so she might wait until after the Solstice.

Time will tell. Looks like she's nearing POL.

Maybe in 2-4 weeks? 2 of my girls laid their first in the winter, so I wouldn’t be surprised

Her comb isn't very red or developed so it's still going to be a while, most likely because day length is shortening right now. So very possible she will not start until late winter/spring.
