When To Harvest Peas??

This is my first time growing peas...
Any advice on when to pick them would be great! How do i know when they are ready for harvest??
I see the little pea pods on the plants..but i cant tell if there are even any peas inside them...

I assume you mean shelling peas? Generally when the pods are bright green, fat, and the peas are nicely sized. Grab some of the biggest pods and open them up. When the peas are pea sized, they are ready. They don't come ready all at once though. You'll have to harvest the largest pods each day.

Oh, and can i boil up the pods and feed them to the pigs and chickens???

Fresh peas are even better than fresh tomatoes. They taste like summer!
