Tomorrow is day 13. Should I lock them down tomorrow or the 14th day? There has been some temperature fluctuations so I'm worried about a early hatch.. Or no hatch at all:\\

I don't know about buttons, but lock them down 3 days before their hatch date.....then don't monkey with them. If you haven't done so.... spin up your brooder yesterday. Take all dry fuzzy butts from the bator to the brooder and sit them on top of the best GBS that you can find under the hot spot.
I'm just pot shooting here.

Thanks everyone! I'm hoping for at least a few to hatch!
quailladyoffortmyers- Thank you for being especially helpful with all the questions I've had during their incubation!

I will be putting them on lockdown today at 3pm(Day 13) Humidity should be raised to 70% correct?

We don't need any passed out button quail peeps around here because it's awfully tough to find you and help you out

Ok well now I have a new question! All this stuff is making my head spin!
I got the eggs from a very old school farmer family.. They said I should lock them down on day 14 and keep the humidity between 75%-85% during lockdown... He had a 112degree spike and using this method all of his 20 eggs hatched! Is this not a good idea?
