When to make safety hole...

I’ve been gone all day and haven’t checked on my babies since last night, but one finally has internally pipped! I haven’t heard any peeping at all though, I can just see his little beak in there moving around. The only thing that worries me is I’m not sure when he broke through.. could’ve been like this for 18 hours now and I’m a little worried. Advice?

I filed down the end and used sharp tweezers. Does this look good?

I tried that at first all my push pins bent!! I didn’t realize how tough these eggs were or how weenie my push pins are lol
