I have 3 chicks that are about 3 weeks old now. How old do they have to be before they can go in the coop and run full time? Right now I have them in a rabbit cage and they are making a mess out of my dinning room! I have to sweep up the shavings multiple times a day and they like to kick the poo out as well! They're very cute but so gross lol

My babies got kicked out as soon as they were four weeks or so, the chick dust was disgusting, blech. I fixed off a part of the coop to be the brooder and put the heat lamp in there. It's worked so great, the chicks are now 8 weeks old and they hang out with the adults all the time with no problem. I highly recommend this if you have the space in your coop.

I have my office totally tented. So the chicks will stay inside until fully feathered. Do you have an extra anything, bathroom, bedroom. mudroom, playroom is there no room in the inn???? How's your weather in Ca. Still cold I bet

well the dinning room is the only room we don't use all the time. plus it has wood floors, so its very easy to clean. I'll probably put some cardboard around the sides. Its in the mid 70's during the day and the 50's at night. I'll just keep them in the house until they feather out. don't want to take any chances. Right now they just get play time outside every day lol
