WHEN TO RELEASE BABY WILBERT

He loves flying around! He’s grown a lot, his chest isn’t completely filled out yet and it’s a little stained from when I tune fed him at a younger age and because of him being scalped he can’t grow any feathers on top of his head but that doesn’t stop him, I’ll just give him a comb over ;):D
Plus these were taken about a week or so ago so he’s a little more filled out now!

Very pretty white bird! I'd keep him with you just a bit longer. He's happy with his dog friend.:D

Oh my, he IS pretty!

I don't know any other birds that just seem to play with the wind the way pigeons do. Oh ... starlings, maybe, in those huge groups you see, what are they called? Oh yes, a murmuration. They just take your breath away.
My grandparents have all different sorts of pigeons they have quite a few white ones I know the mother was white not sure about the father! He could be a mix of who knows what in that pigeon coop! He’s my little buddy though! It is an amazing thing seeing the progress from the beginning to the end! This was him when I first took him in to now!!!! The difference just a few weeks and some love will do!!!

X2 I suggest you keep him a few more weeks. In regular pigeon growth, when they are raised by pigeon parents, they develop somewhat faster than when raised by person tube feeding ETC. Your pigeon at 4 or 5 weeks old is somewhat behind those same age parent fed.
WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and :hugs for taking lil guy in.:thumbsup
ALSO,,,,,, :welcome

I'd keep him around a few more weeks, making sure you teach him how to forage for food.

With letting them live in the playhouse, careful what may happen, which may be dozens of pigeons living there within a year.

My grandparents have raised pigeons so we know how quickly they reproduce!!! He is living there now and he can eat on his own and get his own food and he is doing great with the three other pigeons I put there with him!
