Hi everyone. So when can I remove these darn glass marbles from my chicken's waterers? They are a week old now, at what age is there no longer a risk for them drowning one another? Thanks, Dan.

what kind of container do you have your water in? I use a chicken waterer and never put in marbles. If you're using an open dish, like a dog dish or something then that might be a different story.

Probably somewhere around 5-7 days. When they are running around with out falling and passing out randomly. I only use marbles with very small bantams like seramas and quail chicks. With quail chicks I actually fill the waterers with grit because they were still accomplishing drowning between the marbles.

I've never used marbles

I'm using a chicken waterer. and I was told by the lady at the feed store to put marbles in at the begining. but she never said for how long. they are just a pain to clean. but i think i'll try going without them for the next refill. They are a week old and are running around like crazy and dont look like they can drown themselves...but I guess I'll find out. thanks again!
