When will a rooster start crowing?

Then maybe I will hear mine soon or will an adult Rooster cause them to keep quiet for a bit longer?? Got a Silkie Mix and an EE thats just turned 13 weeks

He is a welsummer.
That has got to be the most adorable thing I've ever seen!

As far as when they crow, I had one EE roo crow at like six weeks old. Two crowed at about two months. One still hasn't at four months and the other only crows when his food bowl is empty in the morning. And he's four months old too.

That was SO cute! When I showed that to my mother, who is rather indifferent regarding my chicken... er.... obsession, had to admit that that was really adorable!

I agree. I have heard of chickens crowing at 3 weeks... one day... and going past 7 months. It depends on the roo. More aggressive or "manly" roos crow sooner in my experience, but that's not a rule, it's just that if he's very docile you have no way of knowing, but if he's rather hyper it may be very soon.
