When will I get an egg?

Since we're now going into fall and the days are shorter it could just be the coincidence of both things happening at the same time and your girls might not start laying until Spring. I wouldn't push them to lay either after that stress but I still hope you start getting eggs soon! Good luck.

Hi, I have two mallards and one runner hen and they started laying at almost five months. They were all April babies
and all layed through the winter. Of course, the weather in California is warmer in the winter than in most states.
I love my ducks...the runner was the designated mommy this year and hatched out three adorable mallards....dad
is a mallard. That was the only time she stopped laying.
