Mine aren't from a hatchery - they are from a lady on here. I have a gorgeous red/brown with black (Georgia O'Keefe) and a silver with black (Martha Stewart). They have just started squatting... How soon after that do they lay? We are also trying to up their protein intake, they are on layer feed with the rest of the hens and have oyster shell, etc available to them. If you give them meat (like hamburger?) do you thoroughly cook it first?
