when will my barred rock hens lay?

I have 4 Barred Rocks....and I LOVE them! I've tried some other breeds, but next time I do a large order, it will all be Rocks. Great breed - I really like them.

Mine all started laying just after Christmas - and they were 20 weeks old. They all nearly lay an egg per day! Great layers.

I got 4 barred Rocks, 1 white Rock and 3 buff orpingtons as day-olds on Feb 4th and my barred rocks were the first to lay. I got 3 eggs on June 27th- so a little under 5 months. I have been checking their vents and all of my rocks are laying and I even got a double yolk today. The buffs all have closed vents so they haven't started yet.

When do I start feeding layer to my Barred Rock Hens. They will be 20 weeks on Thursday....
