When will my cheep cheep's become bok bok's?

My little ones are only 3 weeks old, but i was wondering when do they start sounding like chickens? I read on here the approximate age when my roo will find his crow.

BTW - i put leg bands on my chicks so i can tell them apart because as they grow, the markings they once had are vanishing. My Aracaunas are all different but the RIR's look almost identical!

Tough call... I don't think I ever noticed when it actually happened. I would venture to guess maybe by 6 weeks?

Mine really didnt start doing the "switchover" sounds til about 12 weeks. Maybe they were late bloomers. I had the same question a few months back.

Mine started their bok boking around 11-12 weeks. Before that was just peeping and honking.
