when will my hens start to lay

Im new here!!Well ive got three silkie hens all 8 1/2 months old and i really want eggs soon i read all the related questions but it didnt help me too much since there hens were at different stages and such....can anyone help?

They should really start laying anytime now. Do you have any pics of them? When they do lay, they wont really be the best layers!

I raise silkies. It's anywhere from 7mo to a year. I've noticed since we started free ranging, they're getting more protien and lay sooner and more often.
