when will my roo stop limping?

My poor roo, was delivered to me from my brother in law, in a plastic crate... when he got here, he was limping and it STILL limping. I looked for cuts and dont see anything wrong with it.
Can they break toes? I am new i dont know anything about this just yet. Any ideas on when he'll stop limping or what i should do?
He uses it but limps constantly. Hes eating/drinking and jumping. So he seems normal but hes limping.

Possibly his legs or feet were injured in transit. Does he have access to a low roost so he doesn't have to jump down a lot? Even a bale of straw or hay would be better than having to jump down from anywhere at this point. If adjusting roost height isn't practical in the coop you may have to baby him elsewhere so that he isn't fussing over hens and moving around too much until he heals. Even a piece of 4x4 on some bedding might be all he needs for now.

Are the bottoms of his feet okay?

I had a teenage hen that had a similar problem. After 6 weeks I finally isolated her in a pen underneath a hutch on our balcony. I gave her a 2/4 resting on the short sides of two bricks to perch on. After 10 days I re introduced her to the flock. She was fine but I was worried that her growth was stunted as she seemed to stop growing for awhile.

Then , after a couple months she started getting bigger and feathering out and recently laid her first egg.

do a good recheck of his feet..bottoms and between toes..
check the toes/nails.
look for any scrape, sore or scab...missing nail..
check the legs/feet for any swelling or heat..

keep him in a confined area with good shelter from wet or draft.. with soft clean bedding, or very low roost..use a wide board..as suggested..
so he can rest the leg..
have food and water close by..
give him good feed, and some extra protein..such as egg..
see how he does..
hard to know how long it will take..
not too long..
