I have only one nest box in the chicken coop and it looks kinda like yours except it is a little smaller.
Question? How do chickens know to lay their eggs in the next boxes. I thought that Oprah would get confused cause she would have to go into the coop run, up the little stairs and inside the coop. I'm amazed that she lays it in there. I hope also that the others will do the same
Here is a pix of their chicken coop. the big door opens and latches at the post. Beyond the coop is the bigger run probably 20x20. As you can barely see Oprah is at the top of the stairs.
Oh by the way Oprah laid her 3rd egg today. They are still small, but I'll take them.
