On April 25th my pet chicken, which breed is a sizzle of what I assume to be a frizzle cochin silkie mix, hatched. Shes grown up nicely, her comb and wattles are mostly red and she has slightly light blue earlobes. Her skin color isn't dark like a normal silkies but it's instead white. But back to the topic, she was born on April 25th around 20 weeks ago and I'm just curious as to when she will start hatching. I'm in no rush to get her to start laying but it'd be nice to get some peoples opinions and a general idea as to when she'll start to lay. Right now as I'm writing this she's sleeping in her coop but when the sun rises I'll post a picture of her.

The best indication whether laying is imminent is checking the space between the pointy pelvic bones.

Neither silkies or cochins are particularly productive breeds.
Add to that we are well after summer solstice and at my latitude we are losing almost 2.5 minutes of day length per day. That rapidly declining day length (vis a vis increasing dark period) is a signal to chickens to shut down production or at least delay point of lay for a while.
