"Red" is a RIR pullet and is about 5 months old. When should she start laying ? ? ? Here is a picture of "Red"

Goodness, this question is asked so often here on BYC! If you did a search, you'd find numerous posts regarding when they begin laying. RIR's start early, it should be any time now - are you feeding layer feed and oyster shell? Just before beginning, their combs will turn BRIGHT red. Does she have a nest box that's safe, dark, and quiet?
