I am new here, so please forgive me if this is posted in the wrong place. This may have been asked a million times before and there isn't a definite answer and after reading about Cackle Hatchery, I am a little concerned, but I have chicks coming from there this week. My cousin runs a Farm & Home and ordered me some RIRs that are to hatch on Wednesday. Approximately when can I expect them to arrive. Do they ship them out on Wed. or wait until Thurs? We also live in Missouri, but up north. Thanks in advance for any info you can give me. I am just getting so excited to get my first babies!

Welcome to BYC and to a new addiction.

They'll hatch on Wed and most likely you'll have them on Friday. We've ordered from Cackle back before they stopped shipping to VA and the birds were all healthy upon arrival.

Same story here, only I live in Northeast Ohio. I was a little concerned that they were coming from so far away. All alive and doing great.

Mine are due to hatch on Weds. as well and ship from Ideal. They say if you're outside of TX, it could be 2 days and being in PA, I'm thinking it probably will be 2 days. Anyone with experience with this? I will not be home Thursday so although I would rather get them "home" sooner, I'm kinda hoping it will be 2 days. I do have someone lined up to get them just in case they arrive on Thursday.
