Ok so, I have 5 Easter Eggers that just started laying I think around September-November of 2020. They were around 9 or 10 months when they stared laying too. I was wondering if they would go broody this spring? Also I have 2 Saphire Gems/Blue Plymouth Rocks and they have been laying for around a whole year or more, and I know they aren't really broody types but do you think they could go broody this spring also?

Easter eggers aren't really known for going broody either, but being hybrids anything is a possibility. Really, we can't say when or if at all they'll go broody, as it all depends on hormones. Good luck!!

I've never had an EE go broody.

If you really want a brooding hen, I'd get a few from breeds that are better known for brooding.
I have 2 barred rocks, 2 orpingtons, 4 wyandottes, 2 cuckoo marans, and a brahma so I know my hens will go broody. But they haven't even started laying yet, the orpingtons have but they only started laying for like a month and that's it. I just wanted some babies this spring but I dont wanna buy any so I guess I'll just wait.

I have these breeds with the exception of a Brahma and none of mine have ever went broody and we're coming up on 2 years now.
