when will they know?

We moved our chicks outside about 4 days ago. They are loving the space of their run. The first two nights we put them up into the hen house. The next two nights they have been flying up to a roost in the enclosed run around dusk. It was obvious they were wanting to settle down for the night. Again we put them into their house. About how many nights does it take for them to figure out the henhouse is where they should go at night? There is a a low roost as well as a couple of higher ones and food and water inside for them.

I would say keep them in the coop for four days. Closed doors, no letting out. =)
