I went to check on the babies tonight that were hatched 2/14&16 (a month ago) and this is what I encountered and wanted to share. You would think the way they are acting that they are newly hatched!

I hope this picture shows how big they are compared to momma:

Oh gosh, those babys are HUGE.
They can be separated right away.

If it's not bothering you, I would leave em.

[IMG] That second pic is priceless. It's almost an answer to mama hen's question if they'll ever leave. They're adorable! Love those big ol baby eyes.

[IMG] No it's not bothering me or the momma, she loves them. This is what they have been doing at night but during the day they run all over the coop. I just thought it was funny!

I told my wife today I was going to run this last batch of Serama eggs through the incubator and only keep the hens to replace the ones I lost during that cold spell. Told her the only roo's I'd consider keeping would have to be really special otherwise we were eating some quail sized chickens. [IMG]

Really cool pics btw. They are lucky she didn't run them off long ago.

Well, let me know how Serama taste :lol or bring some here but only 1 roo allowed!
She has been a really great momma but I think she's spoiling the kids!
