When you bathe your birds before a show......

When the water has not been warm enough or has been too hot is when mine react negatively. You don;t want the water scalding hot, but you don't want it luke warm, either.

Chickens have a body temperature several degrees higher than humans (I think 102?), so what is hot to a human is not as much so to a chicken.

I find the best temp to be about the same temp that I like for a nice hot bath (and I prefer my bathwater pretty hot).

I think having the water warm enough is more important in cooler weather. On a hot summer day it really doesn't matter nearly as much.
