Hi I'm in the upper peninsula of MI. I have white leghorn hens and silkie hens and 1 silkie rooster. Anyone in the U.P. raising chickens for fun?

Still not sure in if I'm using this site right yet. Just wondering! My parents are located in Davie Florida on the east coast of the state and would like to start keeping chickens. On this website it says there are no chickens allowed in the broward county area. I would just like to ask all of my fellow chicken lovers, is this different in each town of broward or is it like a large stupid blanket ordinance that covers the whole county? Any info is very much appreciated! Pleas and thank you!
